Client: The City of Lincoln, NE Project Size: 1.1 miles Construction Cost: $6.3 million Turnaround Time: 2 years (2004-2005)
Results: Construction of a new trunk line to serve future development in Lincoln. Installed pipes ranged in size from 60-inches to 84-inches. Depths of excavation varied with some portions dropping to more than 30 feet. This project included three tunneling operations including one that involved installing 410-feet of 72-inch sanitary sewer under a 4-lane divided highway, 2 water mains, Burlington Northern Railroad tracks and various fiber optic and communication cables.
E&A's Project Scope: Served as on-site observers for this project maintaining a daily diary, daily quantities, conducting weekly erosion control inspections, reviewing Davis Bacon wage reports, attending weekly progress meetings and conducting construction staking. Coordinated operations concerning affected property owners and various departments within the City of Lincoln as needed.
