Read Street and Craig Street Bridges, Northwest Omaha, NE
State Steel Building Addition, Omaha, NE
E&A's Structural Department has a diversity of project design experience, yet is quite specialized, as follows:
Bridges (Vehicular & Pedestrian)
Buildings (Commercial, Industrial, Hospital, Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities, and special-use structures)
Special Drainage Structures (Box Culverts, Energy Dissipation Structures, Inlets, Manholes, etc...)
Our Structural staff has served the needs of numerous public agencies such as the Nebraska Department of Roads; the Counties of Douglas, Lancaster, Sarpy and Washington; the cities of Lincoln & Omaha and various other transportation authorities. We have also served numerous private-sector clients, including contractors and developers.
The Department has a successful history of developing projects from conception through completion. We commence with the planning phase, analyzing options and comparing alternatives both from a functional and life-cycle cost standpoint. Once a concept has been selected, our structural department launches into the design phase(s) developing drawings, specifications and cost estimates. We prepare bid documents, advertise projects, orchestrate bid openings, analyze bids, prepare bid tabulations and make recommendations to clients regarding the choice of bidding contractors. We provide project supervision during the construction phase and review pay-outs, including final. We also manage public relations and community involvement, as the projects dictate.
Whether the project involves a vehicular or pedestrian crossing over a stream, a highway, a railroad or a combination of some or all of these; or the project involves a single or multi-story building designed for commercial use or some other intended use; or the project involves some special-use structure such as a box culvert or a sanitary lift station or a water treatment structure, our structural department handles each project uniquely, applying state of the art design solutions that result in cost-effective and durable designs that routinely exceed the expectations of our clients.
