Client: Douglas County SID #503 Project Size: N/A Construction Cost: $650,000 Project Duration: Construction completed in 2007
Results: Installation of a tributary crossing to serve as the new entrance to Silverleaf Estates. The design incorporates landscape materials, colors and architectural elements complimentary to the existing neighborhood while minimizing tree loss along upstream and downstream banks. The crossing included a 10-foot tall single cell box culvert with integral, full-height cast-in-place headwalls and wingwalls, pilasters and precast architectural balustrade sections. All exposed cast-in-place concrete was formed with architectural formliner, stained and sealed to compliment the predominant architectural theme of the subdivision.
E&A's Project Scope: Provided structural, hydraulic and roadway design services and construction administration services on this prestigious, award-winning (2008 PCA Award & 2009 ACEC award) project which serves as a gate-way into one of Omaha's most prestigious subdivisions.
