Results: This 3-bay addition to State Steel's existing facility doubled the size of its prior facility. All design and layout services complimented existing building and site features (i.e. building heights, facia materials, railroad spur access and layout). Building design was fast-tracked beginning in Spring 2007 with construction substantially complete by Fall 2007.
E&A's Project Scope: E&A's project team provided structural design services for the foundation system, the heavy-loaded slab system and the crane girder system design and layout. Civil Site design services were also provided. All services were provided under sub-contract with Brown Construction's design-built contract with the owner.
